build in progress. decided i should record my progress to prove my build.
have a 95 zenki s14 with a sr20det notchtop. bought it stock. then started modifing.
started with bolt-ons. isis turbo manifold. greddy intercooler kit. tein coilovers with camber plates. front, rear, c-pillar, and front under strut bar. cai. koyrad radiator. samco hoses. two 10" flex-a-lite fans. spec stage 3 clutch and flywheel. greddy elbo. greddy downpipe. 3" gutted cat. hks hi power exhaust. sparco harness. sparco seat belt. walbro 255lb fuel pump. apexi safc2.apexi turbo timer. gauges. and im sure some other stuff. just basic bolt-ons that every 240 owner has.
well blew my sh*t up racing a freaking eclipse. down shifted at 100mph isint a good idea as it turns out. jumped timing 10degrees and broke two rocker arms. so here i am. was planning on selling the car, which i sold it to one of my friends. his plans were to fix it and go from there. well... his plans changed with the loss of his job and gave me the car back. so i took it as a sighn that she was to be mine forever and that i would tear her ass apart and build her up and stray from the bolt-on crowd.
whats done now....
well not to much, the block is still looking at me till i get a stand of some sort.
but i started wrenching away at what i could get at. and got zip lockbags and a sharpi and wrote down what is what. got the valve cover off.easy.
then for the head, took the bolts off that i cold find. a few side bolts. got the exhaust side off. and just couldnt seem to find the head studs?!(yes i draind the oil) had to freaking forum the location of the stubs. i know i know, how stupid to be working on a engine and cant even find the studs! but hey, i gotta start learning. im not going to lie i understand im not the smartest at engine internal work. but im learning.
at first i had plans on just a rebuild of the head. then i was like, ill build it. but a bottom cant hold a built head. so there i was... stuck! so i figured what better to do then to pull the bottom and build that aswell. maybe come back with a bang.
my set up is simple and not normaly seen. chalkboard painted hood and no front bumper and low as sh*t to the ground. now im sure some of you are saying, " thats not anything diff". well around here it is. im known for the guy with no front bumper and the huge front mount. hell people would actully ask me what generation prelude is that?!
so with already getting attention and being told to have the skeletor of 240's, and to have ad taste that turns out amazing(so im told). i figured i cage my car. and wire tuck the freak out of my car. no power steering, ac, fuse box, batt, ect. to have my engine bay cleaned and wholes sealed. to have the clear coat so shiny you can see at as a mirror. thats just a taste of my future engine bay.
let me know if yall think im on the rite path. i understand this is the interenet and im going to get hate. im not looseing the idea with the zebra print. but would like feed back to know how im doing.
