Hi. My name is Sean. I'm from Athens, Al. I have recently bough a 94 sentra se-r. It had a rod knocking when they parked it. So I'm looking to swap the engine.. any advice on where to or not to purchase a jdm sr20 de motor.? And any recommended mods you could suggest??

Nobody has any suggestions where to order a jdm sr20 from. Tiger Japan, nadauto? Are either worth a damn?

?? Last few engines I bought are from jdmofmiami.com. Also what engine u looking to get? Jdm Sr20de? Sr20det, sr16ve, sr20ve?

Just a SR20de. I don't know enough about the car to go with a VE or I would.

Ve drops in. Ecu, harness

So I know they fit and bolt up and trans will bolt up, but can I just put it in hook it all up with Ecuador and harness in car and drive with out hooking up vvl yet? Or can I get a ve with harness and Ecu and plug that up in my car and drive? The site you said only has ve no de.

U can drop the motor in and use stock computer without msd or buy a msd window switch to control vvl. It can run either way like that but wont be at full potential until u get an ecu.
