its called "the haka" most of our sports teams do this. Its basically a "challenge dance". It comes from Maori culture

News?

What news was that you were watching Ian? Surely that was ages ago. The haka is performed by most NZ teams when they compete... good to have another NZ'er on board Shortz!

Big Smoke

I am Auckland based and working late.... bugger. Does your N15 have the ful Autech kit with roof spoiler and chin skirt with spots?
I bet there would be some keen on this board to see that although I am not sure what the equivalent US model would be. They don't get much in the way of JDM stuff and would drool if they knew the performance our $ can buy....

Another Kiwi

Hey guy's,

Another kiwi here, read the forums a bit, so I though I'd better register so I can post ocassionally

I don't think there is an equivanent model in the states like Shortz Autech (one hell of a nice car!!)

NZ91NX, what mods have you done to your engine so far?
(I have an N14 GTi, with the SR18 in it)

laterz, Aaron.

hi guys

I've been on this forum for ages, but havent checked it for a while, NZ91NX, i take it you have an NX??? Mine is a NZ new 1994 NX-R, with a sr20det from a U12 bluebird fitted, running a t28 turbo, and Viscous LSD box from a GTI pulsar. Ran a 13.8 at the winter drags on sunday. Getting 185 kw at the wheels, its insane to drive, and such a sleeper. good to see some other kiwis on the forum.

good to hear from another kiwi, It's a shame you have to go off shore to find good info on the old nissan.

going to the nats?

I'm entered for the Nationals, got some setup work to do and such with the hope of getting low 13's maybe some 12's, biggest problem is trying to get some good tyres, can get some from overseas, but bloody expensive to import.

That's awesome, I'll look out for your car.

Hope to see you running quicker times! don't envy you having to buy tyres!! I dread buying "normal" street tyres, let a lone street legal slicks (I presume that's what your refering to?)

do you have much more to get into the 12's, I guess it's a matter of getting that power to the ground

Well what do you know?

There are a few of us here..!
Nismotoy....I have not many mods engine wise made to the SR18DE - ghetto air and 15" timing. I originally joined the board to find tips on my stuttering idle over two years ago and really haven't wanted to sink any $$ into the car. Last year exhaust and shocks gave up at 175k so replace with cobi and munroe gt set up and it gave the car a new lease of life.... I wish I had done more to it when I got it at 69k. Feels stronger and willing to rev now as ever.....

Kiwi_NX-r - that sounds insane. The sleeper aspect is a cool thing about the NX - so many 1600 autos over here... 185kw... sheesh. What colour is your NX? Have any pics?

Hey NZ91NX,

Glad to hear your nx is running sweet, I've just spend the last six months trying to diagnose a problem with my GTi, thankfully it's finally running sweet as, but cost a small fortune!
My Pulsar came in from Japan with a few goodies already on/in it so haven't had to do too much to it.
Though I have just recently relocated the battery to the boot, and made up a custom intake - sounds mint if nothing else

Hey kiwi_nx-r,

Had a quick look at your web page, is it just my computer or are the pics not loading properly??

did the hoosiers make any difference darryl? Shaun here by the way if you didnt notice who i was?

And NZ91nx my autech does have full autech kit but not the big spot light model as it is a 5 door and has a 1600vvl motor not the sr20de 3 door model.
If you are in the grey lynn area during the day you may have seen it parked on gt north road.

The closest model the US guys have to my car is their 200sx same as our 2door coupe lucino's

Hey Shaun, thought it might be you. The hoosiers are heaps better than any other tire I have used, was running high 13's on Sunday, which is great. My speed is getting up to 180km/h, but 60fts are only 2.4 ish still, so a lot of work to go. It really hauls when I hit third and get traction, was reeling in all sorts of cars that could hammer me off the line, they think they have the race then I go screeming past, hehehe such fun. Would like to invest in some proper drag tires, but cant really find any... any ideas?? Would like some Nittos, but getting them in could be a real pain.

Nissmotoy, yeah sorry the page is dated, and I havent repaired it for a while, should do some work on it in the next week or so, just havent had time to get the car out and get some newer decent pictures. I'll post some later tonight if I can.
