Keeping it alive

Just an update on whats going on in the garage.

Got a GTIR parked around the side of the house, someone has done a fair bit of work on it at some stage, but its been thru a few pairs of hands, and most of them seem to be complete dofus. Has momo race seats and half cage, the engine has some sort of ball bearing turbo, with a external wg welded tothe gtir manifold. Has a frount mt, and ali radiator. BUT, the bonnet catch has been disabled, and someone has forgotten to put the pins in and the bonnet has flown up at some stage, it has some chap and nasty wheels, with studless snow tires on them, it hasnt had an oil change for a while, has low oil pressure and the cams are rooted with nice big pits in them. Thank god its not mine, just storing it for someone because his parents dont know he got it. Still, he got it for a good price.

Also working on a AE101 Corolla, putting in a 4agze engine with t28 turbo. What a mission, nissans are soooooo much easier to wrk on. The only thing that has fitted so far is the engine mounts. He was told by some mates to dothe conversion, then they all piked out and wouldnt give hima hand, so I offered my workshop and limited expertise. So far we have found that the dirveshafts wont fit, the intake manifold wont work, the alternator wiring wont work, the starter motor wiring is missing off the ze loom, none of the water pipes for the heater or the radiator line up. the list will go on. The new engine is in the car, sitting on the mounts, and Im making a steam pipe turbo mani for it, just something simple to get it going for him

Pics to follow soon.
