right now im doing this

$1 for like big 1foot at wallmart
denim material I would get something more stretchable next time but its fine if you separate into 2 parts
I also painted the side mirrors wallmart 3.5black enamel+ 3.5 clear coat. next will be front rear bumper mostly plastic stuff.
(don't use newspaper its will get dust on paint)
You can paint your own car with spray paint for like 20 bucks + 20 for sandpaper need to practice first i got some runs so hold like 6 inches away and do 1/2 cross left to right, start spraying on masking first so you go left to right and don't stop at the end of part you are spraying, go over. 1st coat not too heavy, wait 5 min apply sencond, maybe third if needed, wait 1 day apply clear, worked for me. NX's have a lot of plastic on exterior that loses color

I waxed all the exterior including rims (keeps brake dust off) windows.
