thats a 91 modle year nissan started to make them in 90 so they can sell for 91 most car companys start production 5 months befor a new year.

Maybe they assign VIN numbers to countrys before they start production, thus my Canadian car has an earlier VIN but a later production date?

To clarify, my 91 should be: 001042, 12/90, NX2KTPR, NX2000, 5 speed, Hardtop, White, SCCA/NASA race car in progress, was a Cali. car
My 93 is: 201319, 9/92, NX2KTPR, NX2000, 5 speed, T-Top, Sapphire blue, Power Package, bought in GA
The 91 parts car is: 003477 4/91, NX2KTPR, NX2000, Auto, T-Top, Black, came from FL

Absolutely, and FAST backs it up.

92nissannx: If oyu don't mind, PM me your whole VIN I can run it through FAST too. Although I've never tried to run a Canadian VIN before.

Ya, we know that. What we're questioning is that the info suggests 1014 was made after 1045. Which would imply Canada has their own set of sequential VIN's, much like Australia. Maybe? Either that or the serial numbers aren't always sequential for some reason.
