Sadly no test drive yet but here are some updates.

Fuel cell cover is done

Welded it completely up and seam sealed it before painting.

Extended the fuel pump wires/plugs about 1 1/2 feet so there is some slack underneath the cover. The wires and hoses are all sealed in the cover which isn't pictured below. I used universal weatherstriping foam underneath the fuel cell cover to seal it when bolted in place.

Had to order a specific muffler for clearance issues which arrived today. Its a dynomax bullet style race muffler. Now I can pop this on and finish the exhaust over the subframe.

New fans are installed and radiator is in place.

I need to finish the rear section of exhaust then paint and wrap it, engine wiring and interior yet. Then test drive

My computer is currently down (using my brothers) so I wont be able to throw up updated pics but my exhaust is now finished and painted with high temp paint. I will be wrapping it with DEI exhaust wrap tomorrow and working on the engine bay so I can hopefully fire it up wednesday or thursday.

Exhaust is wrapped & sprayed with Dei silcone spray as well as installed. I decided to use the stock B13 harness so I did all the wiring last night for it to work on the engine. All you need to do is follow the instructions Snickers on G20.net has (http://www.g20.net/forum/showthread....****=gtir+swap) If you use the awd tranny you will also need to swap one of your starter plugs as well as rewire the transmission plug (neutral switch). I'm currently finishing up with tracing and rewiring the transmission plug then I just need to switch harnesses on the engine/tranny.

Over the rear

Between fuel cell and subframe

Test Drive Results!!!
Alright I brought the car to a local car show about 3-4 miles from my house today. Engine runs real good, great throttle response and theres lot of potential. I do have 3 issues to take care of at the moment before the next one.
1) My passengerside (Gti-r driverside) rear caliper is sticking so there is alot of drag
2) It needs a major alignment (bounces around its off so much)
3) Exhaust clearance is alot less then I originally thought so I may need to actual make a tunel in the floor for it.

Everything else seems to be working good at the moment. sorry I don't have a vid of it going down the road since I couldn't really do a pull yet.

ya i'm thinking oval piping and making a small tunnel in the floor. If I make to big of a tunnel then the passenger seat bracket has to be changed in order for the seat to bolt down properly. Piping just needs to be modified from the firewall back to were the gas tank use to be so like 4-5ft of straight piping.

Its running reall good with the tuned ecu that came with the engine. I did a little pull but I didn't want to over do it with things the way they are at the moment.

pm sent but ruffly $12 an hr plus parts, materials and around 400-500hrs to complete since most of the guess work is done and its just the awd conversion (none of the other things I did). Not exactly sure how difficult a B14 would be thou to do.

Haha so probably 10 g's with parts included.

At least you are only charging 12 an hour. Take it to a real shop and let them charge you $40,000 for it at 100 and hour.

I went to my local advance auto parts and had them order me up a g20 rear caliper. Supposly someone was able to get a g20 caliper to work on the rear of a Gti-r so I will be trying that tomorrow once it arrives.
