UPDATE #4

Okay. I just paid for the mold to start being made and the Rear window is going out to get put into CAD and cut. The mold will take 2-3 weeks and the windows will take 3-4 weeks. The good news is, all of the hatches will be made by the time the windows are ready so we'll just be able to have them assemble and shipped out right away!!

There is one option I have to make very clear before purchase.

If you guys notice our rear and quarter windows have a black stripe all the way around. This is to cover the uglyness of the window mounting flange and adhesive.

The best solution for this is just to have the window completely tinted before install. For the racers, I doubt you care since cosmetics arent the name of the game here.

The catch to this is it will cost an additional $30 bucks for tinting on the material. Its pretty cheap since I think most tint shops charge $40-75 to tint that rear window alone.

So here is the official pricing:

1 CF Hatch w/ Polycarbonate Window mounted with OEM Nissan Seal

$750.00 + shipping
Tinting will be an additional $30

Im willing to offer a discount for those who want to pre-pay and for those with multiple orders.

Also if you guys can pair up by location you can save alot of money on shipping by splitting it. They can fit 2 per box. So keep that in mind.

Something to keep in mind for those putting these on race track ONLY cars. I can save you a decent amount on the price if you want to mount your own window since your racing authority may require special mounting (brackets, braces, etc) So please let me know if youre interested in this.

I will make up an order form and email it out to those who wnat to purchase when the time comes.

As things approach I will post an ad and a pic on the COSMETIC MODIFICATIONS section of the CLASSIFIEDS since this is technically not a group buy.

Ill update here when that happens.

If anybody has any concerns or suggestions about the tinting (material,brand, percentage, etc) Please voice asap!!!

How dark will the tint be since different states have different tinting laws.

Can you find the laws youre talking about? As far as I know the back and rear side windows can be "limo" tinted, its just normally the front driver and passenger windows that get regulated.

We need to decide on a brand, color, and percentage for the tint to keep it economical.

Brand, color, percentage.

Im thinking just a black "limo" tint would be the norm..?

Rear tint for Wisconsin has to be atleast 35% visible light passing through unless I read it wrong. http://www.legis.state.wi.us/rsb/cod...s/trans305.pdf (page 409, trans 305.32)

Color should just be black in my opinion. I doubt anyone will want any fancy color of tint.

I'll try to get some pics of the mold and whenever the polycarbonate gets in. But like I said that's a couple weeks away.

Right now Im trying to get 15 rear window seals form NIssan LOL this ought to be fun ;p

I will definitely, without-a-doubt take 1 tinted, and I can pre-pay if it's beneficial.

My brother will also be getting one so we can pay together and have them shipped together - so that's 2 definite buyers, just let me know!

I am so excited! Keep the CF part's coming - I'll be in for most!

On another note - Does anyone have a CF Hood for the NX that they'd be willing to part with? I apparently missed the last batch

and I really want one (probably 2 even!)
