The guys had made a prototype hatch already but got some bad resin from their supplier (which ruined afew other projects too) this is common when suppliers dont keep up with shelf dates of their products. Old resins and epoxies are useless LOL
Anyway, the supplier replaced all the materials so theyre back at it again and THE 1ST HATCH SHOULD BE DONE THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!
He'll send me pics when its done and then I will pic it up and test fit it on my turbo NX and take more pics and make any necessary adjustments. After that its just a matter of pumping out the polycarb windows and getting them installed. Then I will start taking payments!! WOOOOOOOOOO
So guys, Im going to pick up the first prototype today and get it test fitted onto my turbo NX this weekend!!!!!!
I will post pics up ASAP, but keep in mind this is not the final product it will be merely a prototype so it wont look as nice and shiny as the final product. The one I will be test fitting still hasnt been buffed or cleaned up. We just want to make sure it fits properly before we invest a bunch of man hours into it on prep and finish.
Look for pics by the end of the weekend.

I know this is off topic but would you be willing to sell ONLY the polycarb window piece? That is as long as it will work on a stock hatch.
I can maybe do that, but I would require payment up front and it could take 3-4 weeks extra since Id have to hope they would work into my current order. PM me and we can work out some details if youre serious.
In other news I just got home with the prototype. It looks great and feels really light. Im gonna weigh it as it stands without the window and then I will weight the final unit with the window. the fab guys say they can still make it alittle lighter and maintaint the same structural integrity, so I will probably push them that way too...
PM me a price on one of the windows shipped to TN. Now that I see that hatch and how light it really is I REALLY need to see if I can make some stuff happen and get one of them. Good deed you have done sir, the community owes you.
