I just wanted to publicly thank everyone who helped me salvage my track day. It sucked having to be flat-bedded to the track hotel on Thurs night. Lots of people rallied to get the old girl running again and thank god it wasn't anything major. I had some small annoying issues at the track, but still managed to have a great time just the same. If it wasn't for the "brotherhood" code that exists within SERCA and with the folks on this forum, I'm pretty sure my weekend would have really sucked. Again, thanks!.
P.S. I wish I could have stayed for the entire convention. Oh well, there's always next year.

BigB stays up all hours of the night. Not to shabby for an "older" guy.

Great hearing that George and I were able to help you get that ignition plug back together that evening!
Also glad to hear that you were able to find bolts for your turbo locally! I felt bad not knowing the nearest parts store, but it certainly worked out in the end
Yea Hank...sorry I couldn't help you out with that bolt situation either. 7am, plus not being in a familiar area plus my allergies hitting me hard = a not very helpful person
Anyhow, it was great meeting you! We'll see ya next year in Chicago, right!?

I figured it was the dumb spark box. I didn't realize you could just bypass it like that. I like that little trick George showed us. You were funny worrying about getting zapped. I did the same thing when he told me to "just spin the distributor, but don't touch the car" Great memories!
No biggie. National Auto to the rescue! It was only about 10 miles. Not too bad. Note to next years organizers: List nearest parts stores in the infopack. Especially if I'm there.
