That really sucks for the guys in the NSX/G35. I'm not too sure what type of action they can take since they were on a track. I hear some people saying insurance will not cover track events, while others were saying that since this was considered and HPDE (If this is ture) then some insurance compaines will cover it.

I have pictures of the silve EVO from the day before, although it was still in one piece.

Alot of insurance companies won't have anything to do with cars who do any kind of sport motoring.. Track insurance is ULTRA important if you plan to go hard at the track.

His issue was he was pushing it places where smoothness counts.. I followed his line right before i spun my car.. that should have been a clear indication that i prolly should be paying attention more to the course than the cars.

All organizations like PDA, Trackmasters, BMWCCA, PCA etc. are techically HPDE events for their own insurance purposes. By law (at least in NYS) your insurance company has to cover you in situations like this. However, there is no law saying your insurance company can't drop you like a bad habit once a claim is settled.

You don't expect anyone to lose it on the inside of a corner. It looked like he stayed on it after he got off track and it hooked up and shot him across to the inside. (Unless something broke)
Sometimes guard rails can be our friends.

More pics of the bastid that nobody liked.... we were all talkin' about him at the Longhorn Sunday night. Yep, the same Evo that almost bought me a new rental car multiple times.

Not on the forum much lately since neck injury - we'll be back at it soon, babying the n00bies.

JWT S4, HS 6, Home Depot Intake, Hypercoil 2s w/ KYB "GR-Poo", CF Sunroof Delete panel, and other crap - where's my interior?

did this happen Friday or Saturday?? I was there till pretty much the end on Friday and I didn't catch a whiff of this. Kinda makes me think Saturday because the accident was on the East Course and he was with us on the South course on Friday. was pretty stupid though.

I looked through a few of these. Nothing gets a bunch of crap threads going like a road course incident. Suddenly everyone's a know-it-all armchair track marshall or racecar driver, especially if they weren't even at the track that day.

A little exposure will make local tracks a safer place, though. "Oh, you're the douchenozzle with the Audi that played Mortal Kombat music over the instructor's tirade for you being such a douchenozzle."
