Beautiful Car by the way.
I've been reading up on other threads about the car. The UK guys gtiroc sell shells like we sell se-r shells hahaha. A cheap source of GTi-r's could come from the UK. Only thing I would be concerned about from UK cars is rust and what shipping would run to get it over here to the states.

The chassis turned out fine. Its in great shape for having about 170K miles on it

The engine was another story.......

(Sorry for the long post!)
I flew out and checked the car out and drove it back (from LA to SC). Sometime after I crossed into AZ, the car developed slight rod knock(#4 rod bearing). I should have turned around and brought the car back, but I kept driving. Of course the knock got pretty bad, and I ended up driving the car across the country knocking like crazy. Made it just fine!

Thank you Nissan!
Anyways, I got back and contacted GSpeed about it it. They offer a warranty of some kind on their motors. I talked to some guy and told him what was up. I told him it was an sr20det, and he said they wouldn't warranty "performance" engines?! I emailed them a few times and called them a bunch, but they never helped out with any of it, so I just rebuilt the damn thing myself.
The mechanic that put the car together didn't impress me very much either. He was kind of a dumb a$$, so I was kinda scared to be driving the car back. He said it was going to need a new cooling fan motor because it was making a loud noise. 2 seconds under the hood, and I seen the metal shroud around the fan was bent in and hitting the fan blades. Then he said the wiper motor was burnt up. Ended up being the linkage had popped off the motor, which he didn't know how to get to.
If I had it to do again, I would NOT drive a used car whose condition I was unsure of across the country (got alot of cool video though). I probably wouldn't use GSpeed, either. Other people may have better luck though.
