I really want a RNN14 Pulsar GTI-R, but I live in the US, so these are fairly rare. I would like to have one someday, but I want to know where the best place to get them is.
Also, how much cheaper are they usually without a motor? I'm assuming my W11 would drop right in.

You will just have to call around thats what i did. When you get one #1 problem will be getting it registered, may not be as a big deal though unless you live in California like me.

I knew someone wouldn't like the W11 in a RNN14 lol. It'd be cheaper for me *** I already have that motor lol. Are they all over the place in Canada? I know registration would be a bitch.
check on evolutionimports.com
there are gtirs on there every once in a while. guy named frank runs the operation in florida. nice guy. give him a call and he can get them if he doesnt have one. all titled, registered and ready to go.

All over the place? Well, there's definitely a bigger market up here for R32 GTR's and Skylne GTS's than for GTi-R's. The biggest gathering of GTi-R's I've seen was 3 (incl. mine). Whereas, the biggest gathering of Skylines I've seen was 12. (+1 GTi-R and 1 Silvia. )
The current rules in Canada are that anything +15 years old (to the month of manufacture) may be imported.
Registration was a bit of a pain for me, both because of people at the licensing office not understanding how to deal with the paperwork, and because of software issues in their system. (The Ontario Minisitry of Transport software at the time would not accept vehicles without a 17 digit VIN. The GTi-Rs VIN is only 11 digits, so the software would not accept it. There is a work around procedure for that now.)
I hear people n BC and other provinces are having a much harder time recently. BC's MoT has taken a very different interpretation of the Transport Canada rules to Ontario's interpretation.
Unfortunately, there is a movement in gov't right now to get the rule changed to 25 years that the community is fighting.

i know here in CT you have to get it emisions tested and inspected by a nissan dealership. fortunetly there was ONE dealership we found which for the fellow that came to us first for assistance in getting his skyline registered.
he had to have it flat bedded all the way there before those tires could touch the road and even then i think hes restricted to this state only depending on his car insurence

I could probably source one for you. But getting it through customs and landing and receiving it would be all up to you. So I guess that is of no help.
We don't have emissions in SC either. When I bought the car from gspeed, they put the engine and chassis seperate on the invoice, so I was able to register it as a kit car.

Registration was the same as for any other car except they used the invoice price to calculate the property tax because obviously the car's value wasn't in thier computer system. Registering it was easy; figuring out how to title the car first was a pain.
