Notice the shaft that the release bearing slide on. It is mushroomed, iam unable to remove the release bearing unless i grind/shave down the edges.
Here you will see the disc has basically fell apart, the rivets came out and cause this to happen. This is why i always run disc with bonded backing (clutch specialties) and hubs . This is the clutch that was in my R when i purchased. You will aslo see the rivets and shavings of alluminum .
Good thing i have a spare tranny that has been sitting around for a couple of years. I will need to dust it off.
This is why i now use clutch specialties and do away with riveted disc.
