Leaking Radiator

Any of you guys ever have to deal with a broken rad?
Do you know where to get a used one or do you think having it repaired would be alright?

So irritating!

depend on how big the leaks is

i've heard you can use egg whites to plug the holes but i have no idea how to do it

if ever you wanna keep it stock while replacing, get a nx2k m/t intercooler. the auto one has an oil cooler

I blew the top off my rad once, and as testament to the bonnet vents, it dumped 5 litres of water onto the windscreen in less than a second

dont use any eggs, sealer or any kind of rad-weld product unless its just to get you home in an emergency. They work by coating the inside of the rad with a film that unfortunately decreases the efficiency.

if your going to get a standard replacement rad, try and get a UK Sunny one and not a Pulsar, the UK Sunny one is the same price but it around 0.5 inch thicker and more efficient.

I think your best bet is just to go and source an aftermarket one locally, the price you would pay to ship in a standard UK one is a lot more than getting a custom one made...

get one locally from 1-800 radiator . Not sure how that would work in Canada but ask for 91-94 sentra 2.0 se-r radiator MODINE model all metal . Its twice as thick as stock , more durable, more efficient and much cheaper than a koyo. Clearance wont be an issue as well as i have run this on all my turbo setups. Plan to run on my pulsar as well when its time. If i remember correctly it cost 125-135 US $, make sure you give inlet and outlet diameter size.

I bought my new one from Absolute radiators in the states, They ship to Canada as well.

They do a copper one and a Koyo rad.

I went for the big 53mm Koyo alloy rad, But to be honest I think I'd of been just as happy with the copper one .

It depends on just how hard you're going to be driving I suppose, I do track days that I went for the bigger option.

I am actually waiting to see if I can fix the stock one and I find out tomorrow. I am a little short on cash after my clutch purchase and change so I was hoping it could be fixed. With the Koyo it looks like you have to change fans as well so I was more expensive than I expected...but if I can't fix it I guess I will be buying a new one!

You guys ever have overheating problems? It has not been an issue for me yet.

So we got a radiator in there. It is one out of a 200SX and it bolts up fine. The only issue was the inlets were slightly smaller but it seems to work perfect. I guess there was an issue with the Sentra one but I have not got the details from my mechanic. I auto-x'd it on the weekend and no overheating at all. Keep my fingers crossed.
