B14 and P10, P11, and B15 are also interchangeable. The older model output is a bit lower than the P11 and B15 but it has worked.

I think all FWD SR20 Alternators will work on it, i`ve used a p10 one before, so i was lead to believe!

Also used my SR18 one, when i swapped in my Gti-R engine.

The B15 2001+ alternator puts out 100 amps

The older B13 and B14 alternators put out 80 amps.

I'm guessing that means we should use the older one since the newer one will take more power from the motor. Or maybe it is just capable of taking more power from the motor if a lot of power is being used by electronics.

Any info on weight or minimum power usage differences?

When you use high output alternators, i.e. switching to the B15 100 amp, that means your electrical system is able to support high power loads, for example, the addition of more lights - high-watt fogs or Baja lights, or stereo systems that require more wattage with the addition of more amps and speakers. If you have an older car such as an RNN14 or a B13, your better off using the B15 alternator. For B13/14 owners, the B15 alternator is the most practical power upgrade you can do. Weight between the B-chassis alternators is the same.

^^I'm not sure about that, because the main engine harnesses could be different, but just count the pins on the plugs on both the B-chassis and the RNN14 harnesses.

What I meant was is there any difference between the two besides the output? For example, when using almost no electronics will one of the two be lighter for the motor to run. I have no interest in getting more ampers since my R was specially ordered with as few electronics as possible (for rallying) but I am interested in losing weight and gaining bhp.

No differences; the jdm nissan alternators and usdm nissan ones pretty much look the same. but since you are participating in rallying, then you should just get a high output alt especially if you need to add more auxillary lighting if it is required by rally rules and regs.
