Ball joint

Anyone ever changed a ball joint on their R?

I called Nissan, they say 245$ + taxes, even before ordering, so it could even be back ordered that's for the hole lower control arm with ball joint.

I also found a site (UK) specialising in Japan parts, they seem to be selling ball joints for 16 pounds . But I'm waiting to see if they ship to Canada...

Anyone have more info?

Part number for control arms:

54500-69C15 (RH)
54501-69C15 (LH)

thx

nissan will only sell the entire arm.

you can however knock out the ball joint and replace them, if you get stuck give me a shout and i'll get them for you and ship them, just pay me via paypal or something

Kieron, wow, that would be great! By the way, is it you who sells clutch brakets?

Does anyone know is there is another Nissan with the same ball joints as the GTI-R?

Say the Sentra SE-R 2.0L (SR20DE) maybe?

Rockauto.com has some ball joints at a reasonable price!

Hey Kieron,

A guy from the uk offered me 50 pounds to ship 2 ball joints to me in Canada?

Think it's a good price?

a rear quarter window cost 70 to be shipped to canada so i'd say no, 2 ball joints would be nowhere near, or is that a complete lower arm ?

never brought the ones from the link but have a pattern ball joint on my car, its ridiculous that nissan only sell the lower arm, tbh i'd have thought a sentra has the same ball joints, cant you get a look at one ?

I would look into US counterpart ball joints. I ould pull one off and match with like g20, b14 , b13 se-r , altima etc at your local parts store. A good joint to start with is moog .

Rockauto.com sells Moog joints for Nisaan...

Also, the link from e-bay, the guy is asking 18.5 pounds for P&P to Canada, plus two 15 pounds ball joints... it adds up to around 100$ CAN, which is the same as the guy in the uk....

Well, 100$ CAN is better than 245$ + taxes for one arm from nissan that could be back ordered....

I don't know what to do....

If only I knew a nissan (sentra, nx, etc.) that has the same ball joint...

thx

If you want the complete control arm, instead of removing the ball joint on yours...leave me a PM.

I'm a parts manager in a Nissan Dealer ship in QUebec, i have the best price on OEM parts...even the JDM. I keep some stuff for the GTI-R, all the maintenance part (belt, spark plug, distrib. cap, seal (almost all off them) and in can search with the vin number (the JDM ...RNN14 123456) ...And i can have a lof of aftermarket stuff too.

I have GTI-R motor im my B15...so i know my stuff.

I gonna check tomorrow the price for the complete arm...
