Hello,
So i did a little autocrossing last weekend, and well i decided that its time to update the suspension. i am going to get some whiteline components, but the part that i want the most is not in stock here, or at the factory. this means like 4 months or something i guess.
SO. where should i look for performance lowering springs and shocks? any ideas?
so if i get b13 struts and springs, would that be about the same ride height? so if i specify lowering springs, then i should be good? i have 16" wheels.
Yes, with light modifications to the brackets
If you are a purist, you might want to check the weight difference, do some calculations and adjust the damping accordingly to suit the RNN14. In my case, nothing beats a track day to dial in a suspension setup (after proper alignment that is !)
You should look into getting a full suspension setup for the car such as purchasing the tein suspension along with whiteline accessories. These products would drastically improve the handling of the car.
Here are the long waited photos! PS: they are identical to the APEX found on the GTIROC group buy. I have compared with the shock in my hand looking at the photo on the screen
The number on the rear springs is 62.220.004 and the number on the front springs is 62.200.006
yes i am very interested in these. i would be the first one one the list for a group buy if someone gets one going. i am having a hard time reading on the site link that was given for these.
Try to get 4/3 or 5/4kg springs...
else the 6/4 combination leads to the same OE understeer bias as the original 3/2 setup. I'll comment on the 5/4 combo in a few weeks.
