i am organising a group buy on the canadagtir site for carbon hoods oe style and fenders from a manufacturer in china. these are great quality items as they make hoods for various aftermarket companies. i will be placing the order in the next 2-3 weeks and there is a 2 month lead time. prices are $500usd for hoods and $600 for a pair of fenders. i am looking into having more parts made in carbon fiber if the market is there such as tailgates and tailgate spoilers and possibly doors also. i am trying to keep costs down to make this affordable so i am looking to do a bulk buy on the hoods and fenders. 20 hoods and 5 sets of fenders minimum. i already have 3 guys for fenders and 11 for hoods.

Great quality and China don't seem to go hand in hand very often. I wish you luck. The cheapest carbon hoods we've had so far are £450 ($850+??) Mine came from CFX in Canada, but cost me over £700 with shipping. Try contacing them and see if they still do them. Now that was a quality item (6.5kg against my current 4.5kg f/g one). (You get's what you pays for )

my samsung tv was made in china and its great, american racing rims are made in china also..almost all carbon hoods sold in the us and canada are manufactured in china or other far eastern countries. the carbon used is grade A cloth and usesn the correct resins to avoid yellowing due to heat. i will post pics this week and find out the weight of the hood.

Hope I'm not stepping on any body's feet...but we manufacture Grade A carbon fiber and Kevlar body parts. We have been around for 8 years, but just recently decided to work on our carbon development side of the market.

We manufacture the GTi-R hoods already...here is a pic for everyone to look at---and I just picked up a GTi-R last week to build some more parts off of.

the pic of the hood you provided is the same one supplied to me by the chinese company who is manufacturing the hoods and fenders for me...strange . i guess you may be using the same manufacturer. i wont use there name on here though. i am not trying to make money by setting up a store and trying to sell other peoples products as my own..the whole reason is to try and provide affordable good quality products with little mark up. i guess i should have known better than to post the group buy on here as it was sure to be hijacked.

Could you guys possibly do B13 carbon hoods? I already have a carbon trunk but Im trying to get in on a group buy somewhere for a quality carbonfiber hood for my 94 B13-if these look this good I can only imagine the Quality of the B13 hoods Wow!!!

My manufacture sells to other companies around the globe...but the other pics that you have is NOT from our manufacture plant. Our company is the source that make it initially ...but the other products we don't make.


Like I said...i didn't mean to hijack this thread by any means...and I can't apologize enough...I'm just like you..I am the only one with a pulsar...so it's hard to find a good quality source for these cars...just trying to help if i can

i will enquire for you with the manufacturer and if they have a mould it will not be a problem. if they do i can submit it with the gtir order. all hoods are the same price $500usd + shipping. to the states shipping is about $100.
