I have a JWT ECU programed for this setup but something wasn't right cause it wouldn't idle at all. was way way too lean at idle. I am running an SAFC2. with the Z32 MAF I have to take out 40% fuel at 6000rpm + and it is still pig rich but runs strong. No recirc BOV. its a turbo XS RFL... I've done a few tricks to make it work and run great with the open BOV. I've tried to figure out the decel air function on the SAFC2 but can't figure it out so i said screw it.... lol. I'm waiting for some time and i'm gonna dyno again....

Mine is a 1992 Classic powered by GTi-R. I love the power and sound of the 3" downpipe muffled by APEXi N1 universal muffler. Burped by Type S BOV and chilled with a FMIC. Brained by JWT ECU programmed for bored out MAF. Boost enhanced by HKS EVC Generation 1 and gauged by Auto Meter phantom boost gauge. It is also timed with HKS turbo timer for cool down process.

*** With this setup, I have been beating cars that I am not supposed to but oh well. My goal is to reach 300 whp. Can anyone suggest what are the best setup that will be compatible with my setup right now so I could reach my goal? Any Suggestions will be appreciated

I have a 92 B13 with GTi-R swap and I could send you the pic or even post it. The only problem is it is raining hard outside and am not able to take pics for you. Are you using any messenger service at all? if so, let me know what service and i'll add you to my list and we can chat there in the future.

i would think with that setup you should be right around 300hp but it might be that your jwt is a little conservative and programmed for 91oct??? do you have access to 93oct? maybe you can hit your mark if you go with 93 and a safc to lean it out a little where the jwt has got you rich, does anyone else agree? oh, i don't have a messenger service but i would love to see your setup, .. i use cardomain to host my pics its free and pretty good.

Remember, i am runing the stock boost which is 8 lbs. what is the safe boost level if I wanted to increase the boost? Some say 14-15 lbs and some say 18-19 lbs. which one is more accurate? Also, what is the most HP I can make out of the stock bottom end without changing internals?

My turbo I believe is T28. what is the safe boost level for this turbo if I wanted to increase it? remember, my motor is all stock GTi-R w/ T28 turbo.

Thanks

t28 is good for 13-14 pounds. someone on this forum saw a gain of about 10hp per lb of boost on the t28. make sure you have your water lines hooked up on the turbo because a lot of guys bypass it and think the oil line is enough but at 14lbs it's the outer limit of the t28 so do it right. on another note my friend is putting back together his gti-r b15 within the next couple days, he is running a BIG t3t4 on the gti-r mani and a tec3 comp anyone want info or pics pm me as he completes it i can start a new thread and maybe get some more questions answered for us and pics posted.

There are a few people on here using the GTiR setup on a 9.5:1 motor, they get close to 300whp with it. I'd imagine that at 14psi, with S3M cams, and a decent FMIC you should get 290-300whp. I wouldn't push it more than 14-15psi though....
