Tuning W/ECU out of Car

I want to put a different program on the ECU while it is out of the car. Is this possible? I have it all hooked up but when I click Upload Current Bin to Emulator it says: "Failure: Bin is larger then emulation ram." Then it says I need to use bank 8 or something. What is up?

TPRT does detect the Romulator...

I had the same problem. I found out that TPRT was not trying to see the ram as a larger size than it actually is. It's supposed to be 64K.

It's a B13. Where do I change it to 32k?

I have no clue. I gave up on TPRT and just uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled.

Then when you pull the first bin, it'll ask you what size it is, and I just told it 64K for my B14. Obviously you'd tell it 32K for your B13.

I tried reinstalling TPRT and it still doesn't work... I was able to send a bin to the ECU once, but now whenever I try to verify the program crashes.

I know what the problem is (I think). The B13RT.xdf file is actually the B14 file. If you look at the header for it, it says so. So where is the real B13 XDF?

Yep. Click the link. It will take you to a text file and you can even read it yourself. It says it's for a B14.

Bump! I'm still having the same problem even with a different XDF (still says it is for a B14 in the header file which is weird).

Its the right one. Ignore the B14 bit, I forgot to change that.

Follow the quick start guide.

Ok my problem is the drivers. Is there anyway I can uninstall the FTDI drivers and start all over fresh (I plugged the ecu in before installing the FTDI drivers). I think this will solve my problems...

Well now I just hit the emulate button then hit update on whatever I have open (like k value or something). I still can't get the upload/download full bins to work, I had to use EmUtility.
