realtime in...but car won't start

I just got my realtime from calum today...I followed the start up guide and installed the bin he had emailed me...it was a copy of my jwt ecu. I wrote the bin to the ecu, it said successful, i verified it, successful again. Now, i figure, that was easy, went and put the ecu in the car, but it won't start.

the engine cranks and cranks, but won't actually start. Not sure what to do from here...this is all very new to me.

any help out there?

Do the radiator fans run as soon as you turn the key to the ON position? That's another sign that the program isn't loading into the ECU.

Are you sure the ECU harness is fully seated? Have you tried physically uninstalling then reinstalling?

Hey Chad, I'll e-mail you a different bin in the morning or late tonight. Try this, turn the key to the on position (where the fuel pump comes on), then check and see if you can get a working consult connection (use conZult freeware, etc). If yes, see what codes the ecu is throwing.

You sure the fuel pump is coming on? Make sure you are getting fuel. also check spark? Sorry I am not familiar with how much experience you have, just saying, you sure it is not anything else? And of coarse, don't do what I did and plug the o2 sensor into the igniter plug

Good Luck

Did you change anything else, or just swap out the ecu? Do you have another ecu to test with?

no...everything remained the same...The only thing i did change was the battery, but i started it after i put in the smaller battery when i had my other ecu. It then sat for 2-3 weeks while i was waiting on the realtime...during that time i also sold my old jwt, so i don't have an ecu to test it with

i'm running 370's @ 3bar and a z32 maf...so it's not going to run with a stock rom either right? Calum sent me the 370's w/ z32 maf at 3 bar and 4 bar. I've tried both and I get the exact same result. I just changed my plugs with some fresh ngk bkr7's and again, same exact results

I'm going to say you have a dead or weak battery. Have you tried that? I know you switched it out, but it did sit for 3 weeks, right?

I'm in NO way trying to insult you or your knowledge, just running through possibilities...
