Possibilities of wideband logging/display using Realtime ECU?
Calum, what could the possibilites be, to have a wideband with datalogging capability, interface directly with the ECU, so that when using NDS, it can be displayed/logged?
I've thought about that. I kind of like better getting the consult data stream into Innovate's LogWorks. Either way it would be nice to have it all datalogged in one place.
The problem with getting it into NDS is you've got to somehow add it to the consult data stream. There are some cheesy solutions, but I'd rather have something a little more sophisticated. Getting the consult data into LogWorks I think is better because it lets you add sensors easily (pressure, etc) via Innovate's add on boxes.

Is there any way to log non Innovate products, in Logworks? You mention that getting consult data into logworks wouldn't be that difficult, so this would be like something similar to NDS, as far as it's datalogging capabilites? I love having NDS, and the datalog, but I'd personally be a HECK of a lot happier if I could see actual AFR values in the datalog, not just lean/rich. It would simplify tuning, IMO, if you can just pause/rewind/fast forward and get a pretty good overview where you need more/less fuel and/or timing, instead of having to monitor the wideband separately vs. RPM and TP/etc.
TeKKiE - There is a program that does exactly that, NisTune, but it is still in the development phase. I have been working with Matt, the developer, to get some issues worked out with the Calum RealTime ECU. The latest version is looking promising though. The software is pretty amazing, you can datalog from the LM-1 and it records the AFR onto your fuel map grid, then you can then compare actual AFR to requested.
Wow, getting the consult stream into logworks would be awesome. Nistne also sounds like it would be sweet. Is there any possibility of just being able to get a wideband to output to Tuner Pro?
Actually I think Innovate has made it pretty straightforward. I say I think because I haven't actually got it working yet. :p I'll try to get something up by this weekend.
Only run the above version if you have LogWorks2 installed on your machine (I think it is also compatible with LogWorks3 beta 2, but I didn't fully test that). If you've never installed CalumSult before, do not download the above. If it works for you, please post your results. I'd really like some screenshots and sample logs!
Run CalumSult before launching LogWorks2. It auto adds channels to LogWorks2 when you start CalumSult, and auto stuffs them with data when you turn on the gauges.
Ignore the extra tabs, I grabbed the latest incomplete build to try this on.
If one of you guys with a B13, Realtime (or rom burner), and Innovate stuff (duh) gets this working please e-mail me whatever bin your currently using and I'll e-mail you something else to try with LogWorks2 (...it involves adding TP to a gauge).
So we just need to install Log Works and run this special calum-sult, and it is in effect a mock-up wide-band? Don't tell me Log works is free? I tried searching and cannot find much information on it, let alone a download page. Any help or explanation here? Thanks.

Yea, this is a version of CalumSult that stuffs consult data into the Innovate data stream so it can be logged in LogWorks (Innovates datalogging software). LogWorks uses the Innovate hardware for a timebase, so you must have Innovate hardware for this. Innovate makes some of the best low cost wideband and other datalogging stuff. The packaging isn't the greatest (I think the AEM is the best looking permanent gauge and the Zeitronix is the easiest to setup), but the technology is solid. Klaus knows his stuff.
Whats neat is that if you add a SSI-4 and GM pressure sensor you've got a pretty low cost setup that can log boost and AFR in a nice package. Add a little hack to log TP (for the B13 ecus, this is actually already there for B14s), and you've got a really slick tuning tool. LogWorks has a neat 2-D mode for doing just this. I need a car. :P
Calum, if your close to being caught up, I need a realtime and I have the Innovate wideband. Maybe you can do a demo day somewhere here in Texas. I would be more than happy to show up let you make sure it works on my car . I have a ve that is in need of tuning and dyno. I would even pay you to do so!
