No cruise and CEL issues..

Hey Calum,

I have had my RT ECU for a long time now, since the beginning of the year, and ever since then I have had issues with the cel turning on and off very frequently. I have messed with a bunch of different things in the tune and what not with no avail. Also, the cruise light turns on and recognizes that it is set, but nobody is home, I wonder if the ECU you got me was out of a car that didn't have cruise.

The ecu doesn't connect to the cruise system. This is a 240, right? Let me check and make sure, but I'm 99% sure thats a separate system.

On the CEL light, is the knob on the back of the ecu turned all the way back to the reset position? I take it its not actually throwing a code? When you check with NDS or ConZult Freeware does it return a 55?

It actually says there is no code, I don't get a code 55.

Yeah, it is 240. The cruise worked before, I guess I can recheck everything else. I will have to check the nob on the back the ecu when I go home next weekend.

I assume that is probably what it is because of the lack of a code 55. I didn't think of that.....

Its getting a 55, its just translating that to 'no code'.

I have used conzult for all of my code reading, etc. I recall getting an actually code 55 on there before,..... maybe. Now I don't think I get that. I'm unsure though....

In ConZult, does it detect the ecu, and do all the gauges work correctly?

Sometimes. I have the free one. It is a bit of a pain, it has taken me like 15 minutes to get it to recognize the ecu. I plan on getting NDS sometime soon when I start working on the car again.

Really? It should recognize it right away. What does it do when it doesn't recognize it?

It just says that there is no connection with the com port that I select, which is the correct one, I can't recall which one it is at the moment though... Otherwise I like the ecu, lol...
