Calum, I sent you an e-mail with two datalogs in NDS, from yesterday morning. I am trying to figure out why the A/F base isn't auto adjusting at all.
I think this is why my car is falling on it's face sometimes. The only way to get the car to richen up, is increasing the value in NDS active test from 100 to say 105 or 106. Then the car richens right up to about 14.4~14.6. If I stop the active test, the A/F base immediately goes back to 100, and the car starts to go uber lean (beyond 18.0 on wideband) and starts to stumble around 500rpm trying to stay alive.
Thing that worries me the most, is when I'm sitting at a light, and it does this. When I leave the light, the car sputters trying to go, and of course I'm afraid of detonation/etc. After a good five or so seconds, the AFR finally wakes up and I can drive normally.
I've just encountered a crazy thing, while playing thru my logfiles, as well as seeing it first hand and asking WTF it was...
At no certain interval, or anything whatsoever, the playback, as well as the realtime display, all peg out for a split second, and then go back to normal operation. This happens on both of my notebooks. The highest value obtained in each gauge all display max, except for the speed as well as a few other gauges. The AAC is maxed, Injector and Inj. DC are maxed, everything looks crazy.
Any ideas? I'm starting to think that there really is an issue with the ECU. Maybe, Calum, if I can get that other bin from you, it could resolve this issue as well? I know for a fact it never did this until we tried this new bin file...
Nevermind, I see the link was fixed. I'll get you a log. In the meantime, did you happen to look at those logfiles, or get around to my bin file? No rush, just appreciate the help at this point.
ZOMG edit, forgot I already had it installed on this computer. What I'll do is get you a good datalog on my way to work. The car seems to not be doing the previous problems, today, and I haven't touched a thing. It's still going lean and the idle is fluctuating, but not to the point to where the car tries to kill itself off. I think I'll just edit the K value a smidgen as you suggested, and see what happens.
Calum, didn't really want to start another thread...
Just wanted to let you know that I got another code 77 today, so I think the resistor mod didn't work for the rear-o2 delete. No biggie, really. Think I'll just do the JWT 4 wire rear-o2 mod and have it not trip. Don't think it's a really big deal, to be honest. Thanks though, for trying. The EGR still didn't trip, but the detonation circuit went off again. I'm going to go ahead and replace that sensor, or, like you said, we could do the mod to delete it?
What is entailed for doing the mod for the knock delete?
