TunerPro RT crashing!

Okay, I followed the instructions perfectly to load the first .bin onto the ECU. My ECU did not come with a .bin preloaded, I'm pretty sure. I tried to download the .bin in the ROM memory with EmUtility and it said that there was 0 bytes of data. I uploaded a .bin with EmUtility. Now in TunerPro when I go to download the bin in RAM memory it says that the RAM memory is larger then the bin, and that I messed up. Something about a bank 8 error. I'm really confused. Also when I try to verify the .bin against the RAM in TunerPro, it encounters an error and closes. If I verify in EmUtility, it verifies perfectly. Anyone? Thanks!

Anyone having the same problem? It's not that big of an issue now because I can just use EmUtility, but was just curious.

What kind of car? When you do 'view/edit XDF info what does it say the bin size (hex) is?

It did come with a bin btw. When you download the bin with EmUtil you have to specify the size of the download, by default it is 0.

Give me a call if you still have problems.

I think I remember reading something you wrote on this before. It's for an S13 (KA). I'm gonna check, but the bin sizes are usually 32KB. I'm assuming I would have to convert it to bytes?

Hey Calum, I was still having this issue. Do I have to specify 32KB as the file size? Is a byte conversion necessary?

The EEPROM size is 32K for S13 and B13 ECU's. It's increased to 64K for the B14/S14 ECU's.

I wouldn't bother downloading using EMUtil. Just download in TunerPro RT. Make sure you have the correct XDF file (B/S13). Then just hit the chip to emulate, and click the down arrow. Save it as whatever you want to call it, and that's it. To upload, just hit the up arrow instead.
