Saturday's race was all messed up, it rained for one of the practices, dry for qualifying, then 2 laps into the race, started raining again. The Hondas were throwing dirt all over the track prior to the rain, then it seemed as if something put down some oil starting in in Cotton Corners and it got *UGLY* to bus stop. Cars were spinnign under double yellow at about 1/2 speed, and they ended the race 5 laps in. I was in front of Matt when it ended, so I got 1st, he second. Not sure where everyone else was.
Sunday's weather was good. Derrick for the win on Sunday, he was on my tail when I lost 3rd gear with 2 laps to go, and immediately jumped past me and stayed out front for the win. Phil broke Sunday, Eric got pole in Stu's car. Inverted grid assured we had a fun race on our hands, with the SE-Rs starting in front of H4 and H1 on Sunday!
John Purpura (rookie for next year) threw a rod at 1pm on Friday, spent all night until 4am swapping in a motor at Sutton Motorsports, only to have that one throw a rod on it's first lap. Soko has some explaining to do...
At the end of the day sunday, Bernardo took Annie out in her car, and ripped off a 2:12.5!!! I was following in Derricks car, and pulled a 2:13.7 (same time I ran in the race in my car).
Overall, it was a great weekend!
