The Dog car is fixed!

After sitting for 9 months. It takes me forever to do the smallest amount of work in my condition. I had to change the rear axle, when the hub bearings went bad they took the stub axle out with it, the stub axle is welded to the beam axle so the whole assembly had to go.

Since I have a hard time lifting anything and don't have than much upper body strength anymore it took all week to change the rear axle and hubs but now the car is on its wheels and doesnt look like a wreck on blocks in my driveway anymore. What used to be a sorse of fustration and depression is now more insperational.

Everything is covered by a thick layer of dust and the inside is full of dust and cobwebs so today is cleanout day, then on to check to see if sitting without prepping the car for storage ruined anything.

It started right up.

I work imagine any basic, compound movements should help. If you lift less weight, more reps, and lift until you are unable to do so anymore, that should help increase the strength in the muscle. If you lift more weight, less reps you will have bigger muscles but less strength in them. Make sense?

I am not supposed to lift weights just yet. Maybe start with pushup or something that doesnt put weight on my back?

Your doctor would know what would be the best for you at this junction of your healing.

and the obligatory 06 Chevy Silverado dd/tow rig

The only thing I can think of that won't be likely to reinjure it would be swimming. My friend did this until he could run again when he had foot surgery and he said it helped a lot.

An elliptical machine wouldn't hurt your back much but help with the rest of your body more. (unless the arms moving places too much strain)

I was told to take much longer off of cars than I did too, but don't listen very well. Although I did leave the really hard stuff to someone else, or air tools like you are.
