I was wondering if anyone in the DC metro area knows about any cheap track days available? Now that I have a track car I want as much time as I can get.

Most track days will cost 300-400 for a weekend. If you volunter to work events though you can earn free track time. More info here: http://www.nasaracing.net/work_event.htm

Are there any SE-R or Nissan Days, or do we have to tag along with the BMWs, the Vettes, the Mazdas, or the Porches? I do as many BMWCCA days as I can because of the awesome instruction. I can't keep track of all the different days, and applications and groups. How does it all work?

With NASA any car is welcome, so you'll be with pretty much everything.
So how does one go about finding any information about the NASA events? I tried their website, but found it completely useless. I found no prices, no registration information. It does look like they have 2 days this year, but sadly they are on the main course

NASA-MA has three weekends at Summit Point in '07:
The cheapest track day I know of this season is the VW R32 Club (registration is open to anyone) on Summit Point's Shenandoah Circuit, Sat-Sun May 19-20 while the Jefferson 500 vintage races take place on the big track. It's eight 25-minute sessions with an instructor for $295. Click here:

Email the R32 guys (Jeremy and Eric) from the links on that page. They may allow you in their intermediate group if you're intermediate elsewhere... it couldn't hurt to ask; they're good guys.

If you want to combine a road trip with your lapping day, then we're about 12 hours straight north - on May 6 we're having a Canadian SR20forum lapping day. At least 1/3 of the cars will be Nissans. Check it out in the Canada section - we're filling up!
When preparing for a track day/weekend, the $400 entry fee is the cheapest thing I have on my mind. Open tracking can get expensive, no way around that. And if its cheap for you, you obviously arent going fast enough!
Hope to see you around!

I run Performance Autosport in Richmond, Va.
Unfortunately I can't get off Fridays! I totally understand what you mean about tracking it is addictive. I have already put in a GTi-R to improve the experience, next is suspension and rear brakes, then MORE POWER! This season I will spend getting to know the car again, before waging war on her.
