Well so far so good, for me at least. I ended up running a 143.5 in session 2 and 3. Ex NX 2000 TTer Dan Gardner ran a 142.8xx in the last session. Poor Todd is having troubles with the car. He is about 4 secs off the pace. I hope he gets it straitened out. He is a blast to race with.

Hopefully more to come tommorow. Qual race tommorow is after 5pm so watch the live online feed of the results as they happen.

Quick update. No real fast times today. Qual 2nd in class Dan 3rd and Todd 4th. Qual race was a cluster F*#K. Had to start from the back because I didn't go to impound after qual(didn't know I had to?) Ended starting DFL in class. Race was a cluster F*#K. Some contact on the start. Tapped Dan going into the Keyhole got him sideways OOPS. Ended up finishing 3rd in class maybe 2nd. !st place car maybe DQ'ed for passing under yellow.

More to come.

Looks like Dan Don got second in PTE and Joe got 3rd. Good job guys.

Tom Paule got 4th in HC4 in what looks like a very close race for the first 5 positions.

It was actually a really sh*tty race; the PTD cars fu*ked it all up. The results of the PTE race would definitely have been different if it weren't for that.

Awsome racing! Civic and Scion don't seem as good under braking and in the turns. Looks like lame backmarker out of class cars were trying to race you. That must have been fustrating for you and the Probe.

you are right about the frustrating part!!!!! Crazy Joe really kept his head; i kept expecting him to ram that mofo bmw off the track!!!!!!

here's my ReidSpeed report:

personally, i LOVE Mid Ohio as a racetrack; i think it is the most difficult racetrack i have ever raced on; demands a very good driver; never gives you a break, or any rest -- i love love love it!!!! but ----

my Probenstien HATE HATE HATE HATES IT!!!!!! the 'Stien just isn't good at this track; way way way too many transitions and slower turns; tight turns, etc. you can see on the vid below that i have to wait and wait and wait and wait before getting on the power. if i get greedy, its even worse; mega wheelspin and push to the outside. Crazy Joe and Dan crushed me in the slow stuff. i am VERY strong under braking (ReidSpeed Big Brake Kit rules!!!), and can hold my own on the high speed turns (like in T1 and at the top of Thunder Valley. but all the rest of the slow speed stuff is like being in a penalty box for me and the 'Stien.....

my qualifying point count had me in P2; Dan took the inside coming down to the green flag (he wouldn't say which way he wanted to line up; he told me he would hand signal at the last minute). i was on the outside. i read the flagger perfectly and got a good start. i lead for the first freaking lap!!!!!!

then, well, screw it -- watch for yourself! :

hope you enjoy!!!!

driver of #11 PTE Ford Probe GT. fourth at NASA Nationals

PS the black 2006 Civic SI was sick. sick sick sick fast. he destroyed me, and Dan, and Crazy Joe. i've never heard of a stock one being so fast. curious, isn't it????? and i was ready to help Joe ram that freaking BMW out of the way!!!!!

PPS i think an LSD would help take off at least a second at this track. my open diff really hurt here.

I noticed that your car really charges up on Joe in a few places and he gave you the chrome horn once. The Probe sounds really mean too!

I don't understand how a guy who is good enough to get invited to the runoffs was acting like a newb and was wrecking the lead race for the championship when he was not in contention for anything. I was getting boiling mad watching the video. Joe had to check up in nearly every corner but the guy would either make his car wide or just motor away down the straights. I hope he got a talking to about being a bonehead afterwards. If it were me I would have said something.

Good for Don, bad for you guys.

Hint. the Civics respond really well to ECU tricks.

it was like watching the v8 series....throw it down the straights at mad 150mph....and park it into the corners.

and i dont think i would ever get on the track with half those guys. its like running weekend racers there. everyone seemed to be an ass on the track. the backmarkers more than anyone else. i can see why they call him "Crazy Joe" cause he has to be nuts to get on track with about 95% of those people.

i was soooooooo waiting for Joe to send the dude into China Beach....or into the outside wall of the next to last turn....dude was a tard. Trying to run Joe into the wall...oh i would have punted someone. I couldnt race like that...

Damn Joe....

but congrats on 3rd....

now to watch the probestine's video

damn probe sounds mean....

and i can see why some would call the SCCA the "gentlemans racing league" cause ive not seen such asshattery in 90% of the SCCA races....

and that Scion....looks way too loose, but has plenty of engine to save itself. Like screw the precision scalpel....bring the machete.
