Yup, and...he's not going. Blah, blah, lame excuse, blah, more lame excuse, blah.
then an email is going to have to out tonight then. i mean come on....its a fun race and great times had by all. sure a little work pulling all the way down here, but what else are you going to do in the race car this late in the year.
What did he not like my company??? i did offer him a sizable place to sit in the van last year.
As an aside, it appears that Matt and I will be arriving in Atlanta a bit early: we're gonna drive the rig down to VIR for the 13-hour the weekend before, then go straight to Hotlanta from there.
So, if anyone wants to get together before the race weekend for somewhat-relaxing dinner and conversation, let us know...also, if anyone knows of a good place with a DynaPack, we might spend some money with them... - GA

BWAH-HAH-HAH!
Naw, he's grousing about "not enough tires", "not enough money", ad nausea, all the excuses we come up with when we're looking for excuses for not going.

I know a GREAT place with a DynoDynamics. The only place in Atlanta that I know of with a DynaPak, sucks balls.

Hey Joe I'd like to come up and be a part of your crew as well. I was just about to PM you about this a week ago. I have a good friend who is a NASA instructor who has grand am experience who would also like to crew for you.

Hey, if they've got a DynaPack, and rent by the hour (instead of the pull, which is silly for us) then all they have to do is sit back and collect the fee. We'll do all the work.
Regardless, we need ot tune some "fat" out of the ECU, so anything useful we can do with this free time is, well, useful. - GA
Greg, its the Dyno4mance just north of Atlanta by an hour or two. Its where we go to tune cars around here. Where Calum first debuted the realtime b14. The guy there, Andrew, kicks major butt for helping tuning. He is a master at really nailing it down. One time he was doing some pulls on an Evo, he got out of it, got out of the car and said "plugs gapped to wide" and Ill be darned if they werent. He's awesome. And I think he even still remembers me im hard to forget.
What kind of schedule you looking at for the week. I have plenty of time off and I would rather hang out than work any day of the week. So if you tell me your schedule Ill likely match it. Even if you want to hit the dyno Ill come along. Just let me know. But I can take off any and all week doesnt matter to me much. Just as long as I have a place to lay my head you know I dont care much.

1 hour 10 minutes from downtown, 1 hour 35 min from Road Atlanta. As Kevin said Andrew's shop is fantastic, not to mention Andrew himself. My Evo visits there, along with the Forester and the SE-R and it's FOUR hours from my house!

I'm game for any reasonable dyno, but I'd much prefer a torque-sensing dyno that bolts to the hub, rather than a mass-resistance dyno that uses tire friction.
And, I'd much prefer to avoid taking a truck and trailer through Atlanta's infamous week day traffic...
Greg, its a loading dyno just like a dynopack, it just uses rollers. Everything the dynopack can do the dynodynamics can do. Let me dig up some pictures...

Hey fellas. I took off to see some b13's race . What is the racing like for the two days? I've never been to a ARRC.
Is it qualifying on sat then racing on sunday? Or is it a race each day?

Its basicly non stop action on the track. While it is qualifying and such...its great action. you can come on almost any day and get your money's worth of race viewing. Road Atlanta is a great place too. Highly recomend sitting on the grass at the exit of the ess's. from there you can see probably 1/4 of the track atleast. if you are on top of the hill you can see basicly half the track almost. the essess all the way to the back straight. we usually end up going up there later in the day to watch fellow friends in other classes like ITB.

Thanks for the info. Does someone have a phone number (and Andrew's last name?)
Calhoun, GA looks to be about a 2-hour drive (ignoring traffic; 107 miles, best I can tell). Anyone aware of a place closer to Road Atlanta/Sugar Hill?
