I am interested in racing here in the Midwest (from Ohio, but would drive 300 miles or so). Is there a league or something I can get involved with out here that permits street legal cars?

SweetPea has to go. 61k and clean as a whistle. Lots of extra parts including rebuilt turbo thrown in. PM me for details.
There are always some auto-x events held in Mansfield/Akron region in the summer time. Whenever the events happen, people usually post about them here.

Check out the TT program in the Midwest NASA chapter. http://www.racenasa.com/ TT lets you run your street car timed on a road course. It is the perfect way to get your feet wet before racing. Although if you've never been on the track before, I suggest you start with HPDE which is not timed so that you can get a little experience and knowledge first.

Hang tight bud! I am trying to organize several track days at Gingerman raceway for 2004. I will be posting this on the Midwest section when it is all organize.
You guys are great. We really gotta get the midwest SE-Rs together in the spring.
I'm gonna host a spring cookout/geekout as soon as the snow melts. We'll boost my B14, eat good food, hopefully get some work done to other peeps cars. Then all go cruising out in the country.
Sup Buttons, sorry I missed you on aim. I left it on when I went to bed, trust me I am like never up that late anymore, lol!
Gingerman is usually like $50-$100 for the day depending on how many drivers you get to go out. I know that if I go I need new tires, or keep that beast on LOW boost or I will be in the grass, lol! I hope you can join us out there.
Also, Pete's Classic just got a new car. He has an 04 Spec V with the brembo brake kit. He wants to get that out there also. So, there should be plenty of potential people.
Since you're just up in Dayton you might wanna check out cincyautox.com (I think that's the right web site) and hit up some of the local auto-x's this coming year. There are some that take place at Live Oaks in Springdale (by the tri-county mall).
Hey Buttons! Good to see you again. I will make another thread once I get everything organize. Currently I am trying to see how many people do we need to have a close track for us. The most everyone is willing to pay is $100 for the day.
