Summit Race Lap times

Did anyone get the final race times at Summit so we can record the lap record for posting on SERCup.com?

Re: Summit Race Lap times

Very cool!

The SCCA ITA lap record at Summit is 1:28.235 (Honda CRX Si); if I can get an engine in that sucker we'll be knockin' on the door!

yea, you don't need much to get close to the record....remember also it was hot day and your lap times were the same or better than the winners in H4/ITA

quick question, what springs were you running at summit (currently I am at 400f/500r w/ 3 year old KYB's on there), and if i ever spend for real shocks, i want to go much stiffer on springs, I think you have run 800/1200 before, is that what you used a summit? (stephen, i need to find 3 seconds somewhere Harper :-)

Re: Summit Race Lap times

Stephen, when I was there in October at a testing day I was running 700F/1200R, but with a Nu-Tech rear swaybar; I was doing mid-to-low 29s with a once-in-a-blue-moon very high 28.9xx. It was a much cooler day.

Since that time, Matt has fabricated a much better rear swaybar (http://www.gatm.com/cars/nx2000/swaybar.html) and we've dropped the rear spring rate quite a bit; I think at HyperFest we were 700F/550R with revalved ADS dampers. We're still trying to dial out understeer but it's tremendously better. I suspect we're damn close, but we might go up to 600 or 650 rear as a baseline.

Check with me every once in a while and I'll keep you updated.
