Best of luck, guys. I wish I could join you but I have too many things going on right now.
Hopefully we'll meet again in early November... GA
that's too bad Greg, got a different radiator in the car so hopefully it won't overheat, but i won't make the november event because baby #3 is due a week or so before that...
maybe i can find a couple seconds this weekend to get closer to your lap times :-)
Ah, well, there's always next year. If things go as it appears they are, and SCCA approves the NX in ITA, our plan is to make a full frontal assault on the Northeast ITA championship as well as a full schedule of SE-R Cup (assuming sufficient funding). We're even hoping to ship the rocket out to California to show them boys a thing or two <wink>.
I have no doubt we'll all be having a blast together again soon.

Greg, I just got an email from a BoD member, who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent (I'm in CenDiv Area 4, not hard to figure it out), that the move to ITA was approved as well as the 15" wheel allowance. Of course it's not "official" till Fastrack, but it was nice to hear it ahead of time.
30 hours' drive each way? Uh, how about YOU tow it down there, I fly down, and I let you drive it 'til your heart's content? - GA
How about if we could get a line on a 2 car trailer and I'll tow both cars down. Just help me out with fuel costs. I have already planned on most likely making the trek. It is fun flogging a rental and driving others cars but, there is nothing like not having to worry about breaking your own car. If you break it you already bought it.
Andy and Nick, Flatout Motorsports. They have a 32-foot open trailer, and it's available for rentals. The next problem, of course, is what do we have that can pull about 7500 pounds? Let's chat offline.
Id like to go to the west coast if i dont sell my car and I have a powerstroke f 350 that can tow 20k , even if i dont have the se-r cup ill bring the other car just to go out there. And the se-r and nx will be ita cars got freinds on the inside lol
well I came no closer to Greg's lap record, buuutttt....Greg, beware, Eric got down to a 1:30.9....still about a second away but no to bad considering he lost 3rd gear in the qualifying session sat and ran the rest of the weekend w/out 3rd.....just think of how much time is lost between turns 1 and 3 and 6 to 9, not to mention turn 3 in our cars is better in 3rd than 4th ;-)

Very cool! Man, I wish I could have been there to defend the record!
I have absolutely no doubt that the Summit Point lap record will topple in 2005 (especially since our current plan is to get rid of the old stock engine, stock ECU, and the HS Gen 3 header ).
It looks like 15" wheels will be approved in IT, so we're considering building a stronger engine (head, mostly) especially for NASA events to get down to the 16:1 allowance (we were 18.5:1 in July...) We can share the Toyo tires and wheels with the Spec Miata...we will definitely come and play more next year.
