What model is that? I thought the front portion extended furthur down on the chest. Maybe it's a bad angle, but from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like it would work as well as the others I've seen...?

yeah, evidence of that is the strut tower bar. you can see its bent at a 45* angle now...

That's a 20L.

Yes, bad angle. I couldn't exactly stand up the HANS for the photo in the correct angle and still have the helmet sitting on it. It's just like the others you've seen.

I think the reason why John's car was not that badly damaged has to do with the way it rolled over. First, the car landed on its wheels and that limited the damage. Second, as it was rolling in the air it seems that only the front and rear end of the car touched the ground hard. You will notice that there is not a lot of damage to the roof (minus the top right side). It seems that the impact of the roll over was absorbed by the front and rear end of the car.

That is becuase the front end on the car absorbed most of the damage.
