This should help when wanting to change springs or designing new suspensions.

How long have CODE tags been available? What are they meant for? I see what Jim did and that's cool!

Damn, if they'd only implement table tags.

Uh... maybe code?

I dunno how long they've been around... there the little pound sign and it was as close as I could get to <pre> tags. But it still took me about half an hour to get that thing to look right. What a PITA.

I'm with you on with tables.

Actually, I unstickied this because someone told me that the info is out of date and no longer accurate.

But I just updated the info from the Eibach site (looks pretty much the same) and restickied it.

What about this nomenclature system?

I would think that these springs would be 180# and 150# but apparently not. What do these numbers mean?

I had a look around the Eibach site, but I could not find anything useful.

the last number is the rate in metric untis:

To Convert lbf/in to N/mm (Pounds-force per inch to Newtons per millimetre)
lbf/in x 0.175 = N/mm, Example: 100 lbf/in x 0.175 = 17.5 N/mm

To Convert N/mm to lbf/in
N/mm x 5.714 = lbf/in
OR
N/cm x 0.5714 = lbf/in

The first number is length in mm and the second number is diameter in mm

so in your case the rates are:302 and 350 pounds
