KA24DE Timing?

Im a little confused about the KA24DE's timing map (91 thru 93). Why is it recomended that your base timing is set to 21 degrees, when, inside the ECU the timing is 15 degrees at 0 load?

I know that setting your distributor to 6 farther advanced than whats inside the ECU will read 6 degrees advanced across the whole map, but, is this whats going on?

Am I looking at the wrong map?

Yeah, thats it.

The FSM says 20 +/-....yet the value at 0 load says 15.

Which at 0 load the ECU reads just one cell instead of averaging 4 right?

If that is right then that would mean your running 5+ degrees advance accorss the entire map.

Something I noticed today was that when I was setting my timign (via timing mode) the closer I got to 15 degrees the closer my idle would get to 700.

If I set my timing to 20 degrees my idle will go no lower than 750.....which is wrong.
