Cool! How bad is the harshness? I notice the same thing with my jwt program. The throttle is sorta jumpy when getting on/off at low speeds.

I allways figured it was because the 4 counter-weight crank is sooo light. I have to be super careful at in 1st gear partial throttle (thats whiplash turf)

It is because of the ECU, because it does not happen with my JWT. The JWT also feels better driving around.

Do you happen to have the part number for that maf?

Care to share how you figured out the K value? TIA.

Hey Calum,

Is your VE program expecting to see the US or JDM temp sensor?

My car idles at 2500 rpm when it's cold. I'm not happy with a cold engine idling that high with no load, so I usually just drive off. If I come to a stop within a few minutes of the car just starting, the idle hunts pretty radically. The warm idle is fine. I do have the water lines hooked up to the TB.

I should have datalogs for you this weekend after the dyno day. Looks like we're going to have a few VVL's there, including Kesi's 220+ hp VE. I'll try and get logs from all the cars.

Someone correct me if im wrong, im taking a leap on this one. Chris I think the VE throttle body has some sort of a mechanical cold idle. There is a allen head screw I think somewhere around there that you can adjust. I used the VE TB also but never got around to adjusting it.

How long the ecu stays in cold idle for can be messed with, is that what you were talking about way up there? ----^

I made some changes to mine so that it would come out of cold idle routine a little earlier.

The maxima MAF I got in has a pink sticker and is labeled p/n 22680-31U00, is this the correct p/n for the VE maf?

Edit: Nevermind, searched and it is.

CalumSult is software, not hardware. The hardware is just called a "daughter board". They are not directly related.

I'll put any program on a daughterboard you want (whether it works on not is your ball), but I suggest just buying a rom burner and trying out different programs. Its really really easy to do, thats what the daughterboards are really designed to do.

The VQ map for your MAF is sooooo close to the newer maf that it doesnt really matter.

I use the same maf. If you want to be a ricer like me you can tell people you have an rb20det maf from a late r31 skyline.... bling bling LOL but seriously it took me a week of research to pinpoint the VQ map because the R31 used a few diff. mafs.
