Trouble with daughterboard

I'm wondering if anybody here has had any trouble with there daughterboards not being compatible with there ECU?? I have used two Calum DB and 2 DB that I bought from a forum member and I have not had any luck with these 2 ECU's. One is a 29 the other is a 64. These are the numbers on the label on the top of the ECU cover. Anybody have these issues. The problems that i'm having is that the fans come on instantly after turning the switch, also the check engine light will not turn off and the car won't rev past 3k without misfiring. In other words it seems to go into limp mode. Any ideas guys? Calum? TIA.

Ok, the 64 is from a 91' SE-R with manual tranny and federal emmisions, part number 23710-64Y01.

The 29 is from 92.5' G20 with a manual tranny and fed. emmisions, the part number is 23710-77J60.

I did verify all of the connections with a multimeter to make sure the connections were good and everything is perfect in the soldering deptartment.

Can you post the two files that you burn to the two chips?

Have you tried swapping them from socket to socket?

Are they burning correctly?

Hey I had a very similar problem with my Calum ECU. Only, it would only go to about 1700rpm. I have a video of it somewhere, I'll have to dig it up when I get home.

My fans didn't turn on right away, but once it reached normal operating temperature, the car would not rev higher than 1700rpm no matter what.

Last I heard, Calum was working with the Calum ECU and another core that I sent him. This was, oh...3 weeks ago One of these days he'll remember to send it back to me.

Crim, Move the data to another bin, a bin you know for sure that you have no problems with.

Key On Engine Off FANS ON CEL!!: Try messing with the daughterboard and socket. Play with the angle. Make sure the ROMS are both GOOD! and keep playing. I ran into that problem not too long ago.

I swap'd roms, and they work fine in my ecu/board/car. Same ECU/Board/program in my car works fine, in another car goes into limp mode after a couple mins. The car that goes into limp mode didn't have these issues with a stock sr20det ecu right before installing this ecu.

As far as I can tell. Stock 370cc injectors, stock fuel pressure, stock Maf.

Only difference is I have a Z32 maf with an AFC compensating so the ecu thinks its a stock ECU (2 in 6 out setting on the afc)

92 and 93. Not really sure as my NX is a 92 but the PO used 93 wiring thru most of the car.

Hmm. My car has an SAFC too. Is it at all possible that it would mess with the stock ECU to make this limp mode crap happen?

IT appears to be temperature related... If I run my car w/ the fans all the time it doesn't occur. If I switch off my fans idling for awhile, it'll crap out....
