Thanks! Any links to info on how to use it? Looks simple enough but I don't see where you can put the ECU in timing mode, which is the first thing I'm going to need to do.

Sorry, I missed that question in your e-mail. Scroll down a post or two in this thread, you'll find a list of free consult software with links. Cool stuff.

Use the freeware conZult for timing mode, its got the best timing mode interface. I never got around to coding that, mostly because I loved his version so much.

[Hint Mode] A version for Mac OS X would just rock my little world. [/Hint Mode]

I use the Consultan version for Mac OS X...but having the real-deal Calumsult would just be, I don't know, wonderful or something.

So, yeah, I tried to adjust my timing tonight using Conzult, there's no timing adjustment there. All I can adjust is base idle.

Setting timing and base idle, are pretty much the same thing.

What about post #4?

So, when I put the thing in idle adjustment mode using Conzult, it's putting it in timing mode?

And yes, timing mode and set idle mode are the same thing.

I see, so what you're saying is I was ignorant? Live and learn. Thanks. Yes, it is much easier. I was getting tired of all the bloody chickens, nevermind all that driving back and forth to Louisiana to find the voodoo folk to get it into timing mode. It's very nice, I click a button, and wow, look at that? I can hear and see that something happened! I'm going to lug my pc down to my garage right now and set that damn timing once and for all!
