need some advice (b14 bb issues)

okay, i bought a b14 with a BB already in it. the previous owner got married and didn't feel like fooling with it anymore, so i picked it up for a killer price, and am in the process of trying to stick it back together. the injector harness was wired when i got it, but other than that, everything else was loose, ie vacuum hoses, all the other plugs off of the harness, radiator, IC piping, pretty much everything.
anyway, everything is back together now, i tried to start it on sunday, it would crank but not turn over. the test light is showing no spark from the dizzy, and no pulse on the injectors. i'm pretty sure its not getting spark because i don't have the ignitor chip plugged in (doh!), but i can't find a plug that fits it. i called the previous owner and asked him about it, he said he the distributor is new, but that he didn't know anything about the ignitor chip. i'm guessing that the car has a BB ignitor chip on there, and i need a USDM chip. that's why i can't find a plug off of the harness that fits. does that make sense? i've searched and searched, but really can't find anything definitive, just alot of people saying their car won't start, and people suggesting ignitor chip. i need a picture.

i've done alot of work on sr20 cars, but this is the first time i've dealt with electrical stuff. if i had pulled the old engine and put this one in myself i wouldn't be having this problem, but since i didn't, i don't know where anything came from/goes. i'm thinking it's a small problem and just something i'm overlooking. any suggestions?

I might be able to go out to my car, and see if I can snag a pic of my igniter chip... will that help?

No spark, no injectors... this almost sounds like an ECU issue to me.

Not on the forum much lately since neck injury - we'll be back at it soon, babying the n00bies.

JWT S4, HS 6, Home Depot Intake, Hypercoil 2s w/ KYB "GR-Poo", CF Sunroof Delete panel, and other crap - where's my interior?

that would be awesome. the ecu is a JWT for 4bar, 370's, bored maf, and 8.5:1, and the guy i bought it from said its new and hasn't been used since it came back from JWT. i'm going to check the ground on the ecu this weekend, the car's at my parents house 45 mins. away.

Check to see if the fuel pump/ignition power supply harness is connected in the passenger compartment by the ecu. I had a similar problem and that was the case with it. It is located around the ecu area and it comes off the engine harness IIRC.

i'm getting fuel to the rail, the inline gauge is reading 90psi on prime, so i don't think that's the issue, but i'll check it out anyway. my main problem is that i don't know where the plug is for the ignitor chip, or one of these spare plugs is for the ignitor chip and i have the wrong chip. i've searched a bunch, but since se-r.net is down (or not working for me) and the one article i could find on there had red x's for pictures, i'm pretty much dead in the water.
