We got em back! OBD II Ecu and questions

After much patient waiting i got my 95 G20 ECU back from Calum's gifted hands. Upon plugging it in and setting my timing its running great! I can describe it as smoother than stock with a tiny bit more power. I have no idea what program its running and haven't tweaked anything. Its a good improvement over OEM in idle, throttle response, and performance.

Also my friend's blacktop SR20DET ecu (E5) is running awesome too, well after i reminded him that his car needs gasoline to run. Boosting 17Psi on a T28 with Calum tuning=sick power in a 240sx.

I have one question, does anybody know how i can disable OBD II Code P0335? Its that annoying code tied to the transmission sensor on my G20. The one that throws code if you have a flywheel or JDM trans. Its coming on every now and then even though i have the sensor installed. I'd just like to kill it if possible. I'm cool with leaving all the other emissions but that stupid sensor that doesnt really do anything has gotta go!

Thanks Calum!

The sensor might be bad. What flywheel do you have on the car?

Its a stock flywheel, but its more than just a possible bad sensor. The trans is an SR16VE and the guy i bought it from drilled it for the sensor. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Would sure be nice to just edit that sensor out of the ECU.

You can't. I've already talked to Calum about that. The issue is, the OBD2 stuff is on a seperate processor from the ROM stuff. The sensor gives wave type info, and a simple resistor won't work. I would make the hole a little bigger, and try moving the sensor around. My guess is that it's not lined up perfect, or too far from the flywheel.

Okay, so no easy check engine hacking yet. No problem, i'l just keep playing with that stupid sensor till the light stays off.

After about 300 miles of driving with the Calum ecu i must say my car is hauling some ass! I'm not sure what program he used but its quite nice. Thanks Calum! Well worth the money and the wait.
