B13 bin with launch control

Hey guys, has anybody tried to integrate the ECCS code for launch control into one of our b13 bins?

here's the link: http://eccs.hybridka.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1502

I've looked to it but I still don't have the necessary skills to do that..

How about the rest?

I'd love to try this on my b13...

Thanks

Super interested in this. Can we get Calum in here to help us out with this? I would LOVE to be able to add this in.

Ok I did some MINOR searching...

Looks like the B13 bin has already been integrated with the launch control. We just have to download the bin, and add some XDF definitions to tuner pro rt to set the launch control rpm and minimum speed.

My next question is. Since we are all using different bins, what EXACTLY needs to be transferred over to this launch control enabled bin?

Calum has already had this working and everything, I don't want to abuse him and ask him to explain this whole thing to us, but i would love the peace of mind if he could just give us a heads up as to all the pieces we will have to transfer over here so our bins run the car still

Anyone else done this maybe? I find it very odd I missed the past threads, because i would have expected more people to want launch control. Especially if it is this easy! (knocks on wood*)

This thread has some info down a bit, and links to another forum I didn't even know about, which also has some good info. Time to start digging tomorrow...

it works... just copy your maps, vq map, tp's, etc/ just dont change the launch speed unless u edited the XDF - or i can offer you this XDF.

devious did the launch limiter, calum made the original xdf

i did have a version here somewhere that has a consult register table but i cant find it right now.

I used that XDF and when I open my current bin, all the settings for the launch control were weird, for example, the rmp launch setting it's at 2842512.00 rpm..I know that that's maybe because it's reading a different address on my bin, can somebody tell me if I'm wrong?

thanks.

Has anyone had success with this on a rnn14 gti-r ecu?

I would try to copy the gtir maps etc to the b13LC bin and load it.

Would the b13 bin run ok in the gtir ecu?

I read they may be issues due to diffrent rev limit addresses.

If so would it be better to implement the code on the gti-r bin?

Ok, so I just tried the .bin posted here in a S13 SR20DET with a 62ECU. This did not work. I copied all my maps from my old .bin to the new LC.bin and when I tried to start, I got a single hit then nothing. Not even a sputter... Any suggestions as to why? I thought the B13 bins were interchangeable with S13 bins.
