New clutch and flywheel

well great news here (sarcastic) as i left the 21 car b15 meet tonight, i floored it in 2nd gear, shifted to 3rd, and instead of GRABBING and letting me keep getting hp, it slipped up and the revs dropped down... so now my clutch is slipping (damn burnouts!) so anyways, i am now in the market for a new clutch. From what ive read/heard about our cars(B15)... ACT ends up being too harsh on our transmission so I was told to actually stay away. JWT makes a good combo but they have to be used together (so i cant use JWT clutch and fidanza flywheel!)... so how do u guys feel about ur ACT u have and also other clutch companies like centerforce? also should i go with the fidanza flyhweel or perhpas the UR or JWT flywheel... figured once i have everything out might as well put EVERYTHING in... now my cams and pullies have to wait

Clutch slippage

Well, i think my clutch is slippin'! Sometimes when im haulin' ass through second gear into third when i let off the clutch it doesn't seem to be gripping like it used to when i bought it(used w/67k miles). Is it me not letting off the clutch fast enough, or is it simply just my clutch going If someone out there can help me diagnose if this is my problem(slipping), or just my "slow" clutch work. Thanks everybody. I appreciate it.

I don't have a B15, but have tried different clutches in both B13's and B14's. I like the ACT HD pressure plate and the JWT pressure plate with stock disks. I used the JWT pressure plate with a fidanza flywheel in the B13 (which has been removed and is running the used ACT from my B14, same flywheel). Just stick with the stock disk and don't get an extreme-type pressure plate unless you really need it. And use any type of flywheel you would like. I haven't used the UR ones but thought they looked good.

I have the ACT Extreme PP and SS disc. It feels awsome! We have a hydrolic clutch, not a wire so it's not harsh at all! I'd recomend it for the b15.

I have the ACT HD PP and Exedy SS disc, fidanza flywheel and turbo. It actually does quite well.. only begins to slip at the higher boost levels. At mid-high boost of 14lbs I dynod 287/283, so it's actually doing fairly well. 17lbs it slipped, but still had enough grab to make it feel like was riding a slingshot.

I have a 60k mile sentra I have gone through one transmission. Unfortunately I was not able to examine the transmission so I don't know why it went out. I was running the JWT Pressure plate w/ a stock disc and a Fidanza flywheel. I am now running stock pressure plate and disc. I definitely need a clutch. I am thinking of getting an ACT extreme w/ SS disc. I am hoping that that will do the trick. I need to check the flywheel runout when I get the clutch.
On another note I highly recommend synthetic fluid. The temperature recently dropped to the 50s and I had trouble getting it into gear. I will be changing to MT-90 soon.

hmm... so im lookin around $300 for a decent clutch and then $300-$400 for either the UR or fidanza or jwt flywheel... so thats $600-$700 plus $300 for install.... so im lookin at about $1000.... damn thats more than i thought

nah, it is not aluminum like the Fidanza, but if you look at the back you can tell it did not start life as a stock flywheel.
