Center console removal?

Okay so I replaced the bulbs in my gauges and my climate control following Covert's "How To's" but, now what bothers me is the green light coming from my drive indicator (I drive an automatic ) so this all boils down to my question of "How do I remove the center console?" I tried and got the console itself loose, but it was stuck on the parking brake and I couldn't get enough clearance in the front to get it off either.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I see people are actually using my writeup

I wish I could help you, but since I don't have an automatic its hard to say... I would just start carefully taking things apart, remember were everything goes though

i just removed mine tonight lol. 2 screws to the back of the console, but the front screws you cant see required me taking out my front seats to get to them. after that things should be pretty easy.

You see, I had gotten to the point where I had removed the six screws from the console itself (two at the front, two at the back, two right in front of the parking brake) but, I couldn't lift it out high enough to get it out over the parking brake itself, it seems like I'd have to take out the majority of the dash just to get down to one or two bulbs...

what are you trying to get to? once you take off the part that has the lil holder in the middle that should pop off and be able to go over the parking brake easily.

whatever I'll try to get back at it on saturday

lol yeah there's 2 pieces to it....one piece that connects from about the shifter forward to underneath your dash, and another little piece that connects from your shifter to the back seat area.

bro its easy to get off.remove the 6 screws take the trim piece off around the shifter and than just pull the whole thing up,pull ur e brake up like maybe half way and the slid the thing up anf foward and move aroun till it comes out.its not a hard thing to do.a retard can do this.and u dont have to remove ur seats, whoever did that wasted alot of time.should about ten minutes to take it out and change the bulb and put it back in.

if u cant figure it out take it to nissan.

And I got it...

Looks pretty good but I might need to make some kind of insert to put in behind the plastic one to try to dim the bulbs down a bit, and you did have to remove the seats in order to get to two screws on either side of the console, thats what I was missing before that had me so confused, thought I'd found them all...
