crystal clear corners

just wondering what the difference is between the b14 crystal clear corners (chrome) from Mossy Nissan and the black corners from Nis-Knacks.
obviously the black corners are black, but are they black chrome or something like black spray paint.

the reason i ask is, i wrecked my car and busted my chrome projector headlight and crystal clear corner. i bought new black projectors and i would like to paint the inside of my chrome corners black.
would this work well at all? has anyone tried this?

I believe the reflective portion of the inside lense is painted black (or something along those lines). IMO, they look much better usually. You can get the normal crystal clear corners on eBay for dirt cheap, though.

i guess my real question is:

Can i paint the crystal corners that i already have, with black paint?
Will it still reflect the light like it should?

Those are not black chrome. They're just black paint. Go buy some glossy black paint and spray it over the chrome ones you have.

Why not take spray tint (Nite-shadez from Summit for ex.) and spray the inside of the crystal lens with a light coat? I'm thinking of trying this.

From personal experience - the Mossy Corners SUCK!!! Way overpriced and are made of bad quality. I'll do a post on them soon.

You've had those for 6 months, what happened?
Keep in mind these are OEM parts, but non USA spec. I don't think they are "way overprice", but maybe not in everyone's budget. Hell I even bought a part off of ebay, once. Once.
