Hi, what parts from a nx 2000 will fit into a b13 ser? for example motor mounts, ecu and wiring harness? axels? all these parts are the same for b13:D let me know.

Sure those things will fit, it's the same chasis.

The *different* (and better) parts are:

radiator (NX is 2 row, SE-R is 1 row)
brakes (NX is much bigger)
PS cooler (NX is located in front of the radiator)
seat rails (NX sits lower than SE-R)
wheels (NX wheels are 1/2" wider)

anything else?

I will add that the Classic OEM seats blow the NX OEM seats into the weeds. If you can find a clean pair, it is a nice upgrade to the NX.

Why would Nissan make a bigger radiator for the NX? Better brakes? Different wheels? Put crappier seats into the NX? This makes no sense. Why didn't they use the best parts on both cars? Wouldn't that have made financial sense from Nissans end? Why have different (lesser) parts on one B13 over the other? Just so we would have to swap stuff back and forth?

Whatever. At least we can OEM upgrade at will.

Time to make this a sticky.
This thread will solve half of every NX newby's questions.
Any motor questions should go to the General SR20 forum....

I'm giving out the tough love today.

Having owned two SE-Rs and two NX2000s (down to one each, currently) I'll say Matt's list is pretty much it. Aside from the really obvious body and interior parts, they're the same car. The muffler is shorter on the NX, but the mid "B" pipe is the same. Despite what you may hear, the springs are the SAME rate on both, just a little shorter height on the NX. I think the carpeting is cut slightly differently to accomodate the longer doors (will find out soon when I try to put SE-R carpet in the NX.) The NX steering column switch has a rear wiper control. The steering wheels are different, and ALL NXen have airbags, vs only some 1993 & 94 SE-Rs.

And we can also take some G20 parts?

sweet because the dash in my se-r has a tiny crack near the vents on the top so i want that car as flawless as possible and the dash in the nx2000 im getting is completely funked, so ill put a brand new one in the se-r and put the good condtion se-r one in the nx, sweet:biggthump

The NX has a bigger radiator because it lacks a grill to provide enough fresh air for the smaller one to work right.

It has bigger brakes and wider rims because the NX was considered a step up in turns of performance to the SE-R.

The seats are different because a squared off seat in an ovoid shaped car would have put the designers into a tizzy. It really sort of messes up the whole "curves everywhere" theme. The SE-R seats are a lot more comfy, though.

The seats that came in the NX were the same seats they put in the Sunny(b13) in Japan, that is why the NX came with them.

What I am saying is....

Wouldn't Nissan have saved money by making all that stuff uniform throughout the B13's?

How much money did they save/spend by having two radiators instead of one? Three dollars per Classic to have a smaller radiator?

Two braking systems instead of one? Two different types of seats and seat rails.

Etc...etc....

Standardized and they would have had to stock 1/2 the numbers of radiators.....

heres a ?.... would nx power window door panels fit sentra? yea i know about the seat belt but that could be fabbed up...
Somebody tried one time. But I think they said that the Sentra ones are different then the NX ones. There was a thread about it somewhere.

Somthing about the Sentra having a certain type of thing that rolls the window up and the NX's being different. You could probably make it work though

I have the same question about the Power window regulators. Are the G20 and/or Sentra power window regulators interchangable with the NX??

#26 ·
Sentra has a cable drive regualtor, NX has a scissor type, they are completly diffrent. Not sure about the G20 though, I'm assuming it has cable type regualtor.

ohk i need some motivation... cause to me it seems the only thing different from the nx door panels with p.w. is the seat belt hole which would have to be cut... that is all.. the dash is the same so it should line up... placement for the motor might snagg but it could be worked out... fuk now im thinking..

Bumping this thread since it kicks the new thread's arse!

NX IS A B13 MOFOS! LETS GO BURN SOME MONEY!

#41 ·
Why lol. This same topic pops up at least once every three months and the SAME answers are also given bout every three months!

As for our stock suspension versus the SE-R. We have slightly stiffer springs to make up for that weight difference.

They're the same.
The only thing that makes the NX lower is that the actual body is lower.
