Alright guys, I can finally release this now. After talking with Tevs,( Sunny here on the forum out in Cali, he has been working with Tein longer than any of us)I have been talking to him for about a month now, and he is finally telling me to release this. Tein is making S-tech springs, SS coilovers, and the Type Flex coilover system (which is compatable with EDFC and comes with pillowball mounts.)
All of the required measurements have been made and have been sent out to Japan, where the prototypes are being made. ETA is 3-4 months for the springs, and then about 2 months more for the SS's and Type Flex's. Estimated price should be around 1300 at the most for the SS's. I do not know a price for the others.I am announcing this to build up interest and get people rallied up. When these come out, we can organize a huge group buy to get amazing prices. So start saving up. I would like to apologize for not releasing this sooner, but I did not want to say anything until we( Tevs and I) knew for sure. I MUST stress this though: PLEASE DO NOT CALL TEIN AND BUG THEM ABOUT THIS, THEY DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT OPENLY YET. Tevs wanted me to announce this and get as many people rallied up as we can. So, Spread the good news and lets get a kickass suspension!
P.S-Tevs feel free to chime in anytime on this.
Edit-Basics will probably be made now! :D

I don't mean to derail production talk, but I have some hardware questions about the Tein SS. :)

Mounting - from what I gather, you use the stock upper strut mounts unless you pay extra for the pillowball mounts. And with the pillowball mounts, you also need a set of Tein camber plates to adjust camber?

Rebuildability/damper replacement - how long would the dampers last on a daily driver that is also autocrossed? What happens when someone needs replacement dampers?

bwahahhaa. Jimmys here to counter attack JimR, moohahahahahaha.
as far as i know. its what you said. though, Camber Adjustment is a GOOD question. i honestly dont know. but i dont exactly know what these pilllowball mounts will be like. the struts should last long and take alot of punishment.good build quality.

What about the basics? j/k ;) Too bad these aren't out now, I'd try the whole shebang instead of the GC plates, GC coilovers and AGX's I'm putting in in a few weeks. Y'all let me know when they come out, I'll see what I can get them for and hook everyone up with a sweet GB on them.
