Any of you guys plan on going to this huge show/weekend. Its a National event for the truckers and minis, but the last few years it is being overtaken by import cars. its cool, there's lots of cruising, bunouts, dragging body panel, sparks, beer and boobs.
I will be heading up there that Thursday afternoon(6/27) and stay until Sunday(6/30). I'm staying at the Best Western. btw, if you're coming get some of those 2 way radios....they are worth their weight in gold up there. Any of you guys plan on going to this. (Eric, if you don't have something nice to say about this event then don't say it Mister mean guy)

Man, you gotta come for the weekend, the fun of this show isn't really the show. The show is good too, but you see cars that could probably win in the show out just cruising around.
I may go on a whim for a day or two. I hate driving for more than an hour in 4th gear. (I rented a car last year)
Is there a specific kind of two way radio to get?
I'll probably pack a tent and stay at a campground near Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
Im not looking forward to the cruising traffic between PF and GB, though. (Last year it took two and a half hours, at least!) My brother and I got out of his friends car and walked about halfway from PF to GB and still beat his friend in the car.
I'll shoot you mail that week if I go. I'll give you my mobile, then.

I am hoping to go...i just gotta get this JDM engine in my car. My friend had a friend who had a cousin(whew) who let me borrow their engine hoist, but they had to have it back to work on their own car. I hope to have my classic up and running soon.
well i still have to get the clutch in. I went to an autozone, advance auto parts, and some little automotive shop and no one has a clutch tool for my car. I live in alabama, most people are like "Whats an ser?" Not only that, but no places around my area dont seem to rent engine hoists.

I believe the clutch alignment tool is pretty common. I dont remember where I got mine, though. (I think it was Pepboys)
"What's an SE-R?" is a pretty common question her, also. It used to be, "your modifying a "four-cylinder*?!?!"

I just got one of those Bellsouth sets from Wal-mart. They are about $25 for two.
To dodge some of that traffic, jump on that little road right behind the hotels. This is the fast way to drive around up there. Once you get towards the end of the strip then get back on the main road to G-burg.

LOL, I can't recall seeing any of those Eric. I mainly like to watch the trucks up there. About the only cars I pay attention to are the Nissans and the cars with big intercoolers in the front.
