9 AM – 5 PM Dyno & tune at Hook-Ups Dyno at Upland
Any word on the registration price for the track day?
I cant wait to go either, last year was a blast. I also would liek to know how much for the track. Also, I guess everyone is staying in Embassy every night now instead of the desert inn or whatever?

Those people who will be road racing on Friday should stay at the Desert Inn THURSDAY night. It is a mere 20 minutes from the track, compared to the 1.5 hour drive from the Embassy Suites.
Those people who do not wish to participate in the road course event, will be just hanging out at the Embassy Suites all 3 nights.
LACR (Los Angeles County Raceway) is about 20 minutes from the Streets of Willow road course. It is a pretty cool 1/4 mile dragstrip which gets packed with rice and american muscle on Friday nights.
I thought it would be cool for some of us to stop by there on the way back to the Embassy Suites. Even for those who are not racing, it will be fun to just sit on the bleachers and watch a few races. Entrance fee is only $5.
"...Everyone in California is easy to deal with, in the mid-west people are so uptight and their first reaction is to get pissy to try and get results. Makes me want to move to California!..."
hmm....i think i will have to have a complete exhaust fabbed up for the SE-R, sh*t. that way, i can drive it everywhere instead of towing the damned thing. hmmm.......

I asked this before, but I am still unclear.
You say that if we are running the track on Friday, we need to stay at the Desert Inn on Thursday night.
However, Thomas says in the schedule:
For Thursday night, "7 PM Pre-track day meeting for those attending the driving HPDE event. Directions from LAX to Embassy Suites (ES) hotel http://tinyurl.com/3227q"
This implies to me that people attending the track day need to be at this meeting at 7 PM at the ES on Thursday night.
So which is it? This makes a big difference to me, as I'll be either driving on I-40 or I-10 to get there, but it is going to depend on where I need to be Thursday afternoon.

Honestly Torry, I think its going to be a matter of choice for you. The Desert Inn is like $70 for the night vs embassy @140 for the night. Emabssy is only about 1.5 hours away from the track, so you would have to leave early, whereas the desert inn is only about 30 mins away. i would say your call.

Thats a long time, when you have to get up and prep your car for an event. Granted some prepping can be done ahaed of time, driving events make for a long day. I'm down with the Desert Inn fo ***.
